Adrienne young fable6/25/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() I really truly feel like this is a real world, which just attests to how well Adrienne Young wrote it. The scene between them when they are diving for the Lark was so perfect! The cast of crew on the Marigold were so realistic, I had a great time getting to know them and really seeing how they all look out for each other and end up accepting Fable. Welcome to a world made dangerous by the sea and by those who wish to profit from it. I loved West and Fable's relationship and how it wasn't an immediate instalove. Filled with all of the action, emotion, and lyrical writing that brought readers to Sky in the Deep, New York Times bestselling author Adrienne Young returns with Fable, the first audiobook in this new captivating duology. The world is so unique and fleshed out with descriptive, captivating writing that transported me right to The Narrows. A story of pirates and found family, Fable follows a young girl’s attempt to survive in a world where no one can be trusted. Every time I hear the name Fable, I now feel like she has to be our redheaded main character because of how real she (and all the other characters) feel in this story. Author Adrienne Young’s Fable duology is a feminist adventure that stands out from the current YA pack thanks to its thrilling, high seas setting and fantastic heroine. I LOVED THIS BOOK! Seriously! When I wasn't reading about it, I was thinking about it. "You were made for a far better world than this one, Fable," ![]()
